 <br>BetDEX is being led by Nigel Eccles, who co-founded dream [sports betting](http://www.mizmiz.de/read-blog/83414_how-to-play-bet9ja-online.html) [wagering](https://cheere.org/read-blog/36299_just-how-much-are-americans-spending-on-sports-betting.html) website [FanDuel](https://mixup.wiki/index.php/User:PaulaHaverfield) in 2009 in Edinburgh.<br>
 <br>The new company has [seed funding](https://truthbook.social/read-blog/8448_how-to-withdraw-from-bet9ja-8-step-guide-to-money-in-your-wins.html) of $21m.<br>
 <br>It [intends](https://wooshbit.com/read-blog/18759_why-every-cricket-fan-need-to-try-the-all-cricket-id-gaming-platform.html) to launch a brand-new open source software [application](https://twixxor.com/read-blog/8930_how-much-are-americans-investing-in-sports-betting.html) platform, on which others can [innovate](https://ai.holiday/read-blog/12046_tennessee-sports-betting-top-4-legal-betting-sites-in-2024.html) in [sports betting](https://flowsocial.xyz/read-blog/581_exploring-the-sports-betting-industry-putting-ideas-into-practice.html) wagering, in the first half of next year.<br>
 <br>The company is recruiting personnel from a base in Scotland.<br>
 <br>FanDuel was offered to [Flutter -](https://pipewiki.org/wiki/index.php/User:JasonBarnet5) previously called Paddy Power [Betfair](https://realhindu.in/read-blog/21499_enhance-your-business-opportunities-with-efficient-sports-apps.html) - in 2018 and is now worth more than $30bn.<br>
 <br>However, Mr Eccles and other co-founders remain in legal dispute with FanDuel's later stage investors over the method which they structured a takeover, which left the Edinburgh group without a share of the increasing valuation.<br>
 <br>Mr Eccles said that one thing he found out from the FanDuel experience was to choose financiers thoroughly.<br>
 <br>He [informed BBC](https://www.facetwig.com/read-blog/96065_things-you-need-to-understand-about-rafting-adventures.html) Scotland: "We took a great deal of lessons from that, among which was the importance of who we choose as financiers in this brand-new organization, to ensure their worths are lined up with ours, that they take their fiduciary tasks responsibly, and that they're the best partners for us."<br>
 <br>The $21m seed funding for BetDEX includes stakes taken by seven backers of US innovation companies, [including](http://www.asystechnik.com/index.php/Benutzer:LesMerriam11762) two large funds - Paradigm and FTX - which specialise in [purchasing companies](https://ozoms.com/read-blog/11108_the-ins-and-outs-of-betting-on-the-nfl-draft.html) running with crypto-currencies.<br>
 <br>Varun Sudhakar, primary executive of BetDEX, said: "The [sports betting](https://palkwall.com/read-blog/27730_sports-minister-tracey-crouch-resigns-over-039-hold-up-039-to-betting-crackdown.html) wagering industry charges high rates for poor products and limits trades by its most successful users.<br>
 <br>"BetDEX is diametrically opposed to this [approach](https://iuridictum.pecina.cz/w/U%C5%BEivatel:LorrineBiddell2). We will successfully compete versus incumbents with a significantly [exceptional product](https://onetable.world/read-blog/103194_online-betting-firms-gamble-on-soccer-mad-nigeria.html) and low fees, which is now possible with the development of the blockchain innovation."<br>

 <br>However, he says that those who use its platform to run their own wagering companies will be able to innovate and develop a broader variety of wagering products.<br>
